This problem is new to me since upgrading to 5.5.
I have added ini_set("memory_limit", "48M"); to uploadphoto.php and pp-inc.php.
My usergroups are set to unlimited.
upload_max_filesize=20Mb
Do I need to delete all of my empty directories in my upload directory next?

You can try clearing your uploads directory sure.
You can configure Imagemagick on your server if you have shell access

You need to specify in admin edit integration the proper server path to your vbulletin integration

Edit: Problem resolved by host. Host had enabled php open_basedir protection on the server. They have now excluded it and all is good.

Now I am back to the original problem. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.
added ini_set("memory_limit", "48M"); to uploadphoto.php and pp-inc.php.
Cleared out my uploads/ directory.
Anything I should ask my host that might be different?
