New Users: Cookie and Admin login error...

I had vb3.6 running with 5.31 on a test server for 1month and had no issues... but i never tested with new registrants...

Initial Setup on test and live site:
cookie path: blank
cookie prefix: bb
cookie domain: blank

My live site already had 5.31 with vb3.06 with no login issues... I upgraded my live site with vb3.6 2 weeks ago and didn't notice anything strange... until new users started complaining that they get the "not registered" error msg when viewing a pic... although they were registered... i iniitially thought it was user error until I kept on getting the emails...

I proceeded to review the support threads here and updated the cookie domain and path to reflect what i had in my VB settings... then I begun to have login problems after i logged out... it wouldn't recognize my session when I tried to loginto the admin panel... the new users were still having problems... so i reverted back to what i originally had..

I have also confirmed that the licenses match

This is optimal cookie settings

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .domain.com

This makes a cookie site wide

Ok... i just tried that...

Firefox doesn't let me log out of the gallery... it only logs me out of the forum... and IE gives me the same original problem... it logs me in to the front end but doesn't recognize the session when i click 'ADMIN'... it just asks me to login again...

I rember awhile ago that there was an option to delete cookies... is that still there? Are these setting changes gonna mess up users already logged in?

You might want to clear cookies in your browser after changing them

Your cookie prefix and vbulletin license number must be entered correctly to get into the photopost admin so check those two. Your vb cookie prefix is found in your vb config.php file

COOKIES MUST MATCH BETWEEN THE APPS.

Ok... clearing my cookies allowed me to log off from the gallery...

I verified my vb cookie prefix below...

$config['Misc']['cookieprefix'] = 'bb';

and i copied and pasted the license number from my config.int into the PP admin...

HOWEVER, i just encountered a problem that may be my solution... When i went to save the form @ http://www.gotsoca.com/gallery/adm-m...?admact=config - i got a 404 error message? What file is the form trying to access?

Ok.. Can you go an extra step and see if you can logoff and login without being prompted an additional time from the pp admin page..

I am pretty sure my current users who do not log off have no probs... Any thoughts on the 404 page...
