Moved to a new server

Hello...

I recently moved server, and so copied all files from the old server in gallery/data to the new server in gallery/data/. I have confirmed the files are all there via FTP. The path is also setup correctly: /home/content/a/a/c/aacircle/html/forums/gallery/data/ in both config-int.php and storage options.

However, am unable to see any photos. The gallery can be seen at www.aacircle.com.au/forums/gallery. Have I missed something?

When I do go to adm-index.php, the top of the page shows:

Warning: opendir(/home/aacircle/public_html/forums/gallery/data/): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/content/a/a/c/aacircle/html/forums/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 588

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/content/a/a/c/aacircle/html/forums/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 591

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in /home/content/a/a/c/aacircle/html/forums/gallery/adm-inc.php on line 608

This may be related.

Cheers.

You need to change the server paths in your config files to the new paths and login and update your admin => global options and storage options to the new server paths to the data and uploads directories.

Now note you tried running a rebuild before updating these paths which was a no no. Thus you need to restore the photos table to get the photos back.

config-int.php and config-inc.php updated with the correct server path and FTP'd.

"/home/content/a/a/c/aacircle/html/forums/gallery";

Global options and storage options also updated with the new path. Still the same problem.

Restore the photos table? You mean upload the /data folder via FTP? Or do you mean the pp_ tables in the database?

Ok... restored the pp_ tables and all is nearly working fine.

If you go to http://www.aacircle.com.au/forums/ga...o.php?photo=14 and click the thumbnails at the top, they take you to a page now found.

Thanks so far for your help.

Ok... seems to be a problem with spider friendly url's. I've now turned off this feature from adm control panel. However, this will largely affect my rankings correct? Is there a way around it? I suppose I would need custom rewrite rules correct?

Thank you.

EDIT: No worries. Found the solution at Spider Friendly URL - Problem

Your new server does not handle them only way around it is if your on a virtual dedicated or dedicated server and can alter your server settings. Most notably your httpd.conf file for apache.
