I put up my old files and the old db backup. It is up now and I may try the upgrade again. Although the thumbnails aren't there and I can't get into the admin cp. I did check the pp usergroups table and admin is set correctly. Anyway, I just want to make sure I run the correct upgrade since I am running 4.8c, which is not an option on the upgrade file.
Thanks.

You can post a url here
If you restored your old database and files your photos should show. I would suggest you make sure your in working order then upgrade. I just upgraded a 4.1 site last night fine so once we find out where your snagging then we can help. With the errors you have been posting though it leads to you not running all the upgrades needed

I wonder if the attempted upgrade moved files around or something thus not allowing the thumbnails to show up. I will look at some old files again to see if I can try something else. The URL
Thanks!

well your running old files and new file structure
You need to upload your new 5.5 files as it looks like you reverted files again

I have the same issue, I'm trying to upgrade from a pp4.8 install. Running upgrade 4.8.2 is looping...
I put a break in the 4.8.2 step 1 and it never reachs it: http://www.reedfamilyranch.com/priva...ade=482&step=1
Maybe a if condition issue with php 5.2.1 ?
Thanks for a fix,
Francois
EDIT: Actual step is: or actual get-step is: 1
$step is empty and $get['step'] is ok, so there is a problem with the GET. We are on PHP 5.2.1

Only thing I can suggest is as I have suggested in all of your couple last threads. Upgrade your 4.8 to the latest code which is compatible with PHP 5.x series

what did you do to your upgrade file? You not get another error after your edit? Only upgrade you need to get to run still is 4.8 only
Try making sure the block looks like what I post above

That was the trick:
if ( $upgrade == "482" ) {
$skip_exheader = "yes";
require "config-inc.php";
and i add to run twice the upgrade process... seems ok now but wasn't smooth as exptected.
