Big Problem after upgrading to VB3.6

Hey guys,

I just finished upgrading to vb 3.6. I've noticed that when members go to the photopost now, they are being logged in as usernames that dont exist. For example:

One of my members is ZENNY shes logged in the forum fine, when she clicks the link to go into photopost the header of the board shows ZENNY, however photopost shows WELCOME MARXX. We dont even have a MARXX as a username in our vb database. This name thing is happening to a lot of my members, however not to me. My admin name NYMYTH still shows fine. Any ideas on this.

Cheers

I havent done anything except do a fresh install of vbulletin (not an upgrade). This is a very wierd problem, because aside from me, all other members are seeing different user names (that dont exist in our db)

Thanks.

well doing a fresh install will definately mess things up. You cant do a fresh install if you had an already existing photopost.

I think he need more info here as what was photopost integrated with before vbulletin if this vbulletin is a new install?

You see what I am saying here a new vbulletin install not an upgrade of vbulletin means you did something outside the normal parameters of a vbulletin upgrade. Therefore Photopost is most likely still upgrading with your 3.54 vbulletin and whatever steps you did to do this new install is what messed things up. I suggest you follow the normal vbulletin upgrade procedure

^^Photopost was integrated with VBulletin 3.5.4 prior to a new install of VBulletin 3.6. We didnt do an upgrade because we had a lot of old templates in vb that were very troublesome. The fresh install went fine and using impex the database came across nicely, no issues. Not understanding why photopost is reading usernames that dont exist, what are my options here?

Cheers

Photopost would not pick up a new install You would specifically need to change that.

Still having problems. I can see everything fine as the admin. The member galleries look good to me. However when I login as another user and look at the member galleries, the usernames are all wrong. What should I do??? Would an upgrade of Photopost fix this......thankx

Your issue is using the impex importer which changes userid's on using it

You can run the userfix script located in our import forum to realign userid's
