Users cannot bulk upload..

Perhaps I've over looked or setting, or what not; but currently only a user flagged as an Admin can batchupload. When someone in the registered or mod group tries, it says processing, file uploaded successfully, then returns the user back to a empty album. I've checked the upload paths that I'm aware of in the admin area, have made certain files were in their upload directory, etc.

I was able as an admin upload from their directory successfully by changing the path from my directory to theirs (i.e. /uploads/1 to /uploads/2).

My hopes is to have several of my users ftp their files over to the server then use the bulk upload option to import to save time.

Any insight to this would be appreciated, thanks!

Only users with ftp access can bulkupload. If you have given then bulkupload capability I would suggest you see if they are using it properly by clicking the box that says to skip the upload prompt and process files already in their directory. If there are files present there they will be processed. If there are not then they will get a window saying processing like normal and then get taken to their gallery and it would be empty.

When you say "Only users with ftp access can bulkupload." Are you referring to a setting inside of photopost, or to the system in general? If you mean the latter, they do have ftp access. Their home directory is their user number in the gallery uploads directory. They know to upload the files directly there and not to a subdirectory under it.

So, they upload their files into their directory. Then go to the category/gallery/whatnot they want to upload to, select upload files. they proceed to hit the skip box, next the box saying files are being processed. After that they are returned and nothing has been processed. The files also still remain in the upload directory.

I've duplicated this with a dummy account I set up, I can provide this information to you in a PM if you wish.

As another experiment, since I trust the user that brought the problem to my attention.. We tried the same steps we had been with different access privledges. We tried mod access first, did not help. Once I gave them full admin acces they were able to bulk upload fine.

you would need to PM admin and regular access as its gotta be the way you have something set
