Image URLs after upgrade

I've just upgraded PP from v4.8.2 to 5.31 and remember reading somewhere in the changelog that the way images are stored (in the file system) is now different?

Reason being is that I have some direct links to images that don't work (which I suspect is because of what I said in the previous paragraph).

What can I do to resolve this?

EDIT:

I also had dynamic watermarks enabled for awhile and have some images with links like '../watermark.php?file=2/9Picture_64_.jpg'

Now these just show up as links (as opposed to images). Can this be fixed too?

You can not display images with a script link like watermark.php

As far as direct image links outside our product you would need to hand update those or in the case of a mysql database there could be some powerful replacement queries you could run or you could use mod rewrite
