Having issues - exec() error...and more

I've had Photopost running for a few months without any issues. Last week I started receiving and exec() error when I tried to upload any photos. Also, I'm now unable to upload multiple photos. When I try uploading multiple photos I get the error "Sorry, this image type (6) is not supported yet". However, I can upload the file individually (still getting the exec error but it does insert as it should).

Anyhow, I read the posts on the exec() error and contacted my host regarding the advice from others posts (safe mode and GD). Their reply to turning off safe mode was...

"Hi, we don't have safe mode enabled, but we have disabled the exec() command, due to repeated abuse/hacks we have had against our servers from it.
"

Anyhow, I'm running GD2 and now I'm not sure what to try and do. Help needed.

GD2 does not use exec and you should be fine
