As an admin you can view a photo within a category and hit MAKE INDEX THUMB
This will make it the cat avatar.

HMM more detailed than that above?
If your logged into the photopost application as admin when viewing a photo within a category you will see the MAKE INDEX THUMB link. You can click it and that image will become the category avatar.

It is not pic size it is pic dimensions. Thus you can set this lower if you like. I use 124x768 and a 600 medium treshold

So youre talking about the Max allowable image width in pixels and the Max allowable image height in pixels right now its set at 2500 for both... 600 for the trigger medium...I know you gave me some settings that you use for your purposes...What do you suggest for a website like mine. Where probably people will be placing pics that they take from digital cameras..either theyll place them portrait and landscape...But ofcourse other sizes can come up..
On reviewpost...Next to the category how can i make that box bigger
example---www.hotbeachspots.com/reviewpost
then click on carnival cruise line ..when you get to the next page ..the box next to the each of the cruise line
Thanks

I would suggest 1024x768
which box the cat avatar?. Edit pp-inc.php the get_imagethumb function and replace the .5 which corresponds to half the thumbnail size with .75 or 1

So the width would be 1024 and the height would be 768. Putting it these sizes would save space????
On the thumb images ill leave it like it is...im not going to mess with any program issues. Put a number in the wrong place, probably change the whole site..lol
Let me get all 3 forums working on my site first, then later ill see if i change any settings in the program itself

Yes if they upload a 4000x2500 image it is resized down and compressed to your quality setting. I recomment using 70 quality for best compression without loss to quality
