Moved to subdomain, directories not being created

Since moving PP to it's own subdomain, when I create a new category the new directories are not being created.

Are you sure you have updated the server paths correctly in Admin => Global Options and Storage Options and permissions are set correctly?

It certainly appears so.

Does PATH to UPLOADS directory? need to end with a '/'?

Mine is /home/username/public_html/uploads

BTW- I can upload to existing categories.

Hello no it does not.

Directories as stated are only going to be created if your using the right path and permissions are 777. You should see errors if things are not right

I'm able to add a category in the admin section. I get no errors until I go to upload something into a non-existing directory.

For instance, if I create category XYZ which is category number 635, it is not created in my /data directory although it appears in my admin section.

I'll go back and check permissions.

Fixed

The problem was that the permissions were not properly set for my /data directory. My ftp program said it was 777 but file manager in cPanel said otherwise. All is good until I find another directory improperly set. But now I know how to correct it.

Thanks.
