vbgallery import problem

I was importing a copy vbgallery last night and everything went fine until the final step

Quote:
d. Set your medium size threshold in Upload Options and under Scan Database rebuild your medium images.
I set that to 640 then ran the scan and rebuild and it removed all our photos :S.

We have two servers for the site one for the database and images and the other for the apache side of things.

So photopost files are on server 1 and the photopost data folder is on server 2 all the paths were set correctly in config etc and the import of the files was fine.

The gallery was working fine until we ran the medium rebuild.

I've checked the datafolder on server 2 and theres still images in the folders but as I said the gallerys now showing as 0 image.

Any ideas?

p.s. I created this in the wrong forum initially. So feel free to delete this thread http://www.photopost.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125630

I would think your issue has to do with the data folder not being on the same server as Photopost as normally the data folder is required to be on the same server as the files and thus I think thats where the issue lies with your import.

Any idea how to get round that if thats the problem? Surely the rebuild of mediums should use the path given to it which is to the other server?

If it was accessible it should but that means that external server needs to be mounted all the time. Obviously it was not

It's still working fine for the other gallery and attachment at the time of the rebuild and those images files are on the second server.

It's a tad confusing, I'm guessing there must be some where I've missed a url or something but can't seem to find it at all :S. I'll have another root about.

ok run it again and it's definitely using the wrong URL for the data directory not the one I've provided.

Keeps reverting to the "Full SERVER PATH to PhotoPost data" but not the one I have saved. Which is confusing the hell out of me. As the one in the database is correct but the one used to find the files is the wrong one.

Where does the database scan script get the variable for the full server path to the data folder?

Ok having had further root around I think I've found the problem

$globals['origfull']

Where is the details for the /data/ part of this stored? Since it's the part thats using the wrong location for the data folders.

You can set Admin => Global Options the correct data path then go to Admin => Storage Options and hit revert and save twice to load the proper path.
