Updating from 4.8 to latest In an attempt to update its been a disaster. During upgrading it throws out lots of mysql_fetch errors, duplicate tables or duplicate this and that. However the upgrade does continue, when its completly done its still reading Vbulletin and the PP forum as it should but the images are not showing up. When I change the define("VB3_INTEGRATION", 'off'); to on, run the upgrade nothing happens it just sits there, asking to continue, click continue nothing, when I leave it off it runs the upgrade, but with loads of duplicate errors. When I tail the apache error log it says image doesnt exist, so when I do a ls -l filename to see if its really there, its not... so im guessing its moving files around during the upgrade but its horribly messing something up or im missing something. :( So i guess my question here is it even possible to upgrade from 4.8 to 5.3.1? |
It is very easy to upgrade from 4.8-5.31. The documentation folder has the upgrade instructions. Basically you would upload all the files except config-inc.php and run upgrade.php. ONLY RUN EACH STEP ONCE. When done your fine. If you where seeing duplicate errors and the like it means you where running things multiple times and this is why when you where done no images showed. http://www.z28.com/gallery/ |
It happens right on the first couple of steps and continues and this is after only running it once, after I click on next step, then next step, so on and so on, I almost have to screen shot everyone of them I guess to show you, soon as I get my second wind today.... |
