Try contacting vbseo and make sure to apply the code to the htaccess so that there program is not interferring with ours. I am going to assume here there is an issue there with that.

Dear Chuck, that could be correct as at: URL to PhotoPost main script directory it shows: http://www.pooja.nl/vbseo.php already entered.
Ofcourse I knew that had to be wrong so i changed it.
(but still the white page)
But, what should I ask VBSEO exactly?
Are they aware of this problem?
Did this ever happen before?
I bought 2 ( in my opion expensive codes ) and now they are interferring
with each other. |

When I searched at vbseo.com ( searched: PhotoPost )
I got only one thread that gave a code: thread: http://www.vbseo.com/f77/problems-vb...ight=photopost
So i placed: Quote: |
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !photopost
| in the .htaccess
and went back to step 4 I clicked back and then again on the link:
External User Registration
Now it showed at:
URL to PhotoPost main script directory: http://www.pooja.nl/photopost/ already entered.
So you would think... hey this looks good!!
So I fill in the other information and click on
configure photopost i still get a white screen!!!! : S |

It might be nice if display errors was on in PHP
I would suggest you check to ensure both config files are writable and that the config information is correct as well as the info in step 3

Okay yeah 8:22am here on Saturday so just checking in
You can gladly send FTP info and I can have a look at the files your using and do some testing. Do your server error logs say anything?
Trying to track an issue and resolve it without any errors being displayed at all is rather difficult.

One of the tech guys found the problem.
In the installation guide it shows how you have to CHMOD some folders.
But if you do them all directly it shows the white screen.
You have to do only a few (not all what is mentioned)
it looks like its working now...
(i hope)

Actually your issue would then be endemic to your server. Our install instructions are correct and you need to set the data and uploads directories to 777 at every level but its good you found your issue. You might want to tell your tech guy to turn on the ability to display errors. It is extremely hard for you to get help anywhere if you do not have an error to post.
Yes to remove the calendar and statistics etc just go to Admin = Sidebar Settings and turn the sidebar OFF.

yeah he can do whatever but I was merely pointing out in the future with anything you go through if your server is not going to display an error it would be extremely hard for you to get support anywhere. Without an error the only way to find an issue is with server access and testing which means usually your host is creating more work for himself since he needs to diagnose and fix everything. If you site has displayed an error I could have told you a response to help in my first post.

Still some stuff going on.
Thumbnails do not show up
(I asked the host and GD2 is installed and there is no
problem)
and is it possible the header is different now?
i miss the yellow line see under the google adsense code.
see: www.pooja.nl
and www.pooja.nl/photopost
I did place the gif also here: http://www.pooja.nl/photopost/images...tons/thead.gif
but that did not help
also somehow i can see the "rate photo" option

I am just a client who spends money on various places and do all I can do
to make stuff work. I know the very basics of HTML / PHP and servers
but, I dont even come close to the host or your knowlegde...
(and sometimes i am limited to certain aspect what I can and cannot do)
Tho, I really try to to the best I can...
I just want it all to be up and running etc... so, I can also head over
to the next project.

Yes I understand completely I am just stating for any project you work on with your current server setup without any errors it may be hard for people to assist you in any support manner.
