| Cannot go to image page after upgrade (404 error)
After the upgrade to 5.3.1, whenever I click on ANY photo, I immediately receive a 404 error. It's almost as if the page changed from the previous version to this one. This is also strange because the thumbnails do work. http://www.discusstheoutdoors.com/media/
This was not an issue prior to the upgrade.
For now I turned the spider-friendly option off until this is resolved.

Your server is not compatible with spider urls and thus can not turn them on.

Why did this work right before the upgrade, but not after?
I've been using spider-friendly URLs since I purchased this software several months ago with no problems.
I will say that I'm also running my own version of PHP as of last night (right before the upgrade) to handle larger upload limits in PhotoPost. Is there something I need to do in PHP.ini to fix this?

If you or your host changed your APACHE and PHP setup this would affect things.
I would suggest in your APACHE setup you have this in there
AcceptPathInfo On

That did it. I had to set the following in php.ini because my host is running PHP as CGI.
cgi.fix_pathinfo = On
When I decided to run PHP on my own, this setting apparently didn't carry over.

Hey,
I have this EXACT same error with the white pages when clicking on thumbnails (thumbnails appear perfectly fine), however it's not related to PHP whatsoever so maybe there is another solution for me?
Works on the following sites with integration turned on: http://www.aliensoup.com/gallery http://www.doggiebagonline.com/gallery
Does NOT work here: http://www.wtf.com/gallery
All 3 sites are on the same dedicated server.
On wtf.com all photos turn into white pages when you click on the thumbnails.. Any ideas? I've tried everything I could think of such as matching setting for setting from the working sites and it's all identical!

My 4th post hints at what needs to be in your apache configuration file httpd.conf

I can certainly try that. However, why would the other sites work on the same server? |

To the best of my knowledge, all 3 sites have spider-urls turned off. I have NEVER activated that on any of the sites as I'm really not interested in it..
Did they somehow get activated on WTF?

I put that line into the httpd.conf file (and restarted apache), and it still has the same problem. I've always had the same spider url settings across all 3 of my sites (and we have it turned OFF always) so I can't imagine it has anything to do with that setting).. We still have blank white pages.
Edited for clarification...

well make sure your server path etc in the config-int.php file points to vbulletin if you get a white page when turning it on

Yep.
I have both Alien Soup and WTF configured identically. The server path is correct.

Tried that countless times, that doesn't help unfortunately.
I've deleted all files before uploading them, still nothing...

Was this an upgrade you sure you ran every upgrade?
Basically your not producing any error you just have a white page so its hard to tell you what to fix with the absense of an error other than to reupload files.
How about your server error logs? any errors in there to assist.

Hey,
Yes I've been upgrading each time, carefully checking if just files have to be uploaded or files AND an upgrade script run.. Until the 5.31 it was all working fine...
As for error logs I'll take another check now..
