Login Issues

Hello Chuck,

I recently purchased PhotoPost for my company and have gotten the app installed. Everything seems good until I try to access the “My Photos” section or the admin page. I believe I have the cookie information setup properly but I continue to experience the same issue. When logged in as Administrator (phpBB latest version) and trying to access PhotoPost pages, I get the following messages….When I visit the admin portion “You are not a valid administrator or moderator!”, when trying to navigate to the “My Photos” section, I receive “You do not have permission to view this category."

I am running phpBB (latest version)

Can you help me out Chuck? I need to get both apps running by the end of the month or its my ass.

You dont have any categories installed that I see on your install

Did you try installing this with MYSQL 5? If so you need to turn off STRICT MODE

Things are humming...

Chuck,

That did the trick. Yes, we are utilizing MySQL 5.0. I would have never found that without your help.

One more question and I will leave you alone...

We bought the branding free option. What is the best way to remove the branding from our site? Sorry if this is apparent elsewhere.

Thanks again Chuck....you the man!

user access to admin link

Chuck,

It seems general users (signed up through phpBB) are presented with an admin link when in the photopost software. They are not presented with the entire list of options just a few under the heading "General" like approve posts, bulk actions, etc. I don't believe this should be happening and I am not sure how to tackle the problem. I have confirmed that the user in phpBB is set to user status. The account you setup on our board should present you with the admin link when on our photopost install.

Can you let me know how to resolve the issue.

Thanks

Make sure in Admin => Edit Usergroups you set the proper permissions it would appear to me your giving regular users moderator access.

Chuck,

General users are all set to user status without any moderation privileges. We have yet to setup any moderators. I have attached a screen snap shot of your account to illustrate.

Ahhhhh....gottcha.....
I was assuming (my achilles heal) that the default install of photopost would not allow regular users these privileges.

Everything seems copasetic at this point.

Thanks again Chuck!
