errors with 5,3,1

uploaded the new files as instructions said and now getting these errors.
Its probly something simple but can anyone tell me what it is.

Am I reading Michaels instructions that no php files upload, only the two new config ones.

I have gone back to 5.3 files untill can figure what is causing the error.

Same here, I tried upgrading and just revert to the v5.3. Too much trouble to get it working and untill a full upgrade is out I aint' touching my current version.

Any my current version stil got some errors.

so what do we do with the two new config filles. I thought we would reenter our information in to them and replace the 5.3 ones.
Those Instructions are really not that clear.

So we install all php files and the forums php that fits our forum and the template files that are shown in instructions.
Maybe that is whay I am getting error is that I didnt upload all the php files.

Confused to say the lest when reading the instructions.

Thanks chuck for explanation. May I ask what the config-inc.New and config-int.php.New are for.

Will wait a few before doing the upgade again to see if there are going to be any other fixes that might be needed for it.

UPDATE: Got it all sorted and working ok now. Been a while since we had an upgrade I had forgot what was what.
