404.shtml file in gallery root???
Question!
Is it ok to put a 404.shtml file in the gallery root so i can stop these errors from showing up on my cpanel error log??
File does not exist: /home/mysite/public_html/gallery/data/500/medium/PB040001.JPG
Plus the user won't get the default apache 404 not found page but instead my custom page.
Thanks,
T

Yes you could do that but I would inturn try and suggest you find out why the image can not be found.

I am assuming that these are links that people posted on other sites and they are not in the gallery anymore.
I dont know, does that make sense?

You can use htaccess as well to block access to pictures on your site on other sites
