a bug??

I did a fresh clean installation of PP 5.3

Here's what happen.

When i go to the admin panel, set the following :

cookie path set as /
cookie name set as XXX (of cos something more readable here)
cookie domain set as .mydomain.com
SMF leave as blank

it will logs me out after i save.

After this i find myself not able to login via the frontend nor the admin. Same for all my users.

What happen??

Hello

With SMF you need to set the SMF COOKIE NAME. If you do not set this on install you will never be able to login. I think the default cookie name is SMFCookie10. There is a special box on install to place this variable.

The other cookie prefix and cookie domain settings are useless unless your using SMF 1.1 as older SMF you can not set cookie settings

I am not running any integration.

From another thread, you mention that i just leave the default setting as it is if i dun have any forum integration. I think it works fine... cos i am too used to play with this settings everytime i installed forum boards... so i tot i need to do so for PP as well.

Note : This PP installation is a standalone, no integration.

Okay you wrote SMF stuff up in your first post thats why you threw me here

You do not use cookie prefix and cookie domain on an internal Photopost install they must be kept blank
