| When logging in to admin cp redirected to domain.com
When directly after an install I enter my username and password from vb
I get redirected to http://www.domain.com/photopost/misc.php .. no idea where that is coming from. Gut tells me its something to do with cookies but I have no idea where to start. Im trying to integrate with vb 3.5.4

Do you have mysql 5 and strict mode running?
Something would be stopping the installation from entering the variables you are entering on install into the database.

I am having the same issue after reloading VB and Photopost, and starting from scratch. I installed VB from scratch and then loaded Photopost. Everything went fine.. but I cant get to the admin page for photopost, it redirects me.

no it didnt , i had already done that. I also reinstalled photopost with a new table prefix to ensure that there was nothing in there i didnt want. Step 3 went fine. everything goes fine untill i get to the admin cp for photopost.
The only thing I can think of that might be out of the ordinary is that my forum is in the root.
The other thing is that your instructions refer to getting the license key in a vb file however this vb file contains a phrase string. I got my license key ( not customer number ) from my email from vb . This is a seperate piece of info to the subject of this thread however.
Im on IIS 6 , can you think of any more info you need ?

Try using phpmyadmin to view your database and update those settings manually in the settings table of Photopost.

The url statements in the settings table that you say are being set to domain.com. Only think I can think of is your IIS setup is not allowing the passing of the domain name but can not be sure.
Just use phpmyadmin to edit the settings table settings for the urls.

Just use phpmyadmin to edit the settings table settings for the urls. | Log into phpmyadmin and view the photopost database. Go to the setting table pp_settings and browse it. Change all the settings for the entries that are url's. They are all within the first page of the settings table in mysql.

Ok maybe I am doint something wrong I dont know ...
But I changed all of the settings in pp_settings to not have URL's in them. They just have the path for instance :
URL to PhotoPost data directory : /gallery/data
URL to your forums main directory : /forums
URL to PhotoPost PHP directory : /gallery
URL to PhotoPost images directory : /gallery/images
Same thing still happening The funny thing is if I am not logged into the gallery and I try to log into the admin section then it redirects me to a misc.php page and it says "Invalid login. Please check your username and password, or register."
But if I am logged into the gallery and then go to the adm page and login, it says login succesful but boots me back to the index page of the gallery.

Hi,
Now the admin panel is working. When i enter the details ( my vb3.5.4 admin username and pass ) I get redirected to my correct URL/photopost/misc.php but this screen is blank ?
A bit more info:
When I click " Register " , i get a message in vbulletin saying that I am already registered. When I click "lost password" I get an error in vbuletin saying this user is not registered .

freefallu please post a url
Poni try doing a search on the support forum for cookie prefix. There are tons of threads on your problem. Basically upon install you forgot to enter your vbulletin cookie prefix and this is crutial for correct login.

I do not necessarily see anything wrong here but one thing is you want to contact vbseo and ask them what you need to alter in there program's htaccess so that it does not interfere with the photopost gallery url's. There is a known incompatibility there.

Hi,
Ok roger that. I turned of VBSEO on the board and still it doesnt work. Can we work towards resolving it without vbSEO and then i can figure out how to stop VBSEO rewriting the relevant URLS.

Please clarify the exact issue though as I stated I see no issue with your site when I am clicking around.
I would suggest if anything you check your cookie settings. In Photopost the cookies should be set the same as vbulletin.
cookie prefix bb
cookie path /
cookie domain .freefallu.com
cookie settings should also be set this way in vb. Except the cookie prefix is in the vb config file in vb.
