You need to install phpBB2 first and then install photopost according to our instructions here http://www.photopost.com/installphp.html
You would select external integration on install and input all the proper info for phpbb2

Looks like me like you used phpbb settings and installed an internal photopost meaning standalone. You did not select external integration with phpbb
You would need to reinstall and take each step slow and answer accordingly. You select external install and phpbb and answer the questions accordingly.

hi, setting up works fine, but when I click on External User Registration and then continue ... following error comes :
--------
Error: Are you certain that your database prefix is set properly?
I cannot see your phpBB2 "mybb_groups" table.
The prefix setting adds characters to the front of phpBB2 table names - please doublecheck this.
---------
but I checked and the prefix is correct, but there doesn't seem to be a group called "groups" in the database
also, if you click register it goes to a url which doesn't exist
instead of .../forum/member.php?action=register
it goes to .../forum/profile.php
Please help ... its really urgent
thank you
armin

Hello please look at your phpbb2 config file
It appears to me you are not entering the correct phpbb2 variables upon install
When you choose external integration first it assumes you have correctly placed your phpbb database settings in the user database section on first section of install then once you click external integration you select which forum in the drop down and it asks you specific questions like url to forum and mysql table prefix and cookie prefix of the forum. These must be answered correctly. Since we can not grab your phpbb2 usergroups your table prefix is wrong
Here is the normal phpbb2 prefixs so try install again and input these if they match what is in your config.php file in phpbb
cookie prefix phpbb2mysql
mysql table prefix phpbb_

I wonder if I'm having a similar problem, I have installed PP to intergrate with phpbb2. All works fine apart from the following issue:-
I can register as a new user in phpbb and this gives me access to pp as a user- (no problem)
I can't however, register in PP ( it just gives a 404 error of file not found). Can I make the register link in PP point to the register link in php so users register in one place only i.e the phpbb forum... |

Your register link in Photopost will point to the php registration if in your Admin => Forum Options you have entered the correct url to the forum.
