| Lost "Previous" "Next" after 5.3 upgrade
We lost the "Previous" and "Next" link, and the small preview thumbnails underneath a photo after upgrading from 5.21 to 5.3. Could anyone please let know what might cause this and which file controls this function?
Thanks!

Try making sure you uploaded all the new templates and php files.
As long as you have next/prev on in showphoto options in admin you should have it displayed as long as your files are right.

Chuck,
As always, thank you for prompt reply and help.
I have enabled it in the admin Showphoto options. And I believe I uploaded all the changed file listed in the change log. But could you please let me know the exact name of the template and php files, so I can double check and look into the code?
Thanks!

Chuck,
I have checked all three files. The showphoto.php and showphoto.tmpl are 100% same with the packaged v53 files. pp-inc.php only had a few copyright removal change, other than that, everything is exactly the same.
Please help me out. Thanks!

Those would be the 3 files in regards to the issue you are reporting. There was a minor issue with the initial release of 5.3 and this was corrected within a couple hours but all people who downloaded before than were affected. The 5.3 available in our download area is correct and next prev if you have it set to on in showphoto options will show. http://www.reeftalk.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=142 |

I would suggest you redownload the package just in case as I show no issue with this if you upload the new templates and new php files.

Chuck,
I have re-downloaded the package from the Members Area a few minutes ago, and downloaded those three files from my server, and compared them with BeyondCompare, and see nothing wrong at all. Is there a possibility the current download has some issue? I can email you these three files to you if you need.
Many thanks!

Okay and how about the prev and next templates as well?
You know the filmstrip templates.

My filmstrip-hor.tmpl and filmstrip-ver.tmpl are different. I uploaded the new version, and it does not correct the issue. Any other files?

Why not just upload all the files except the config files
Just off the top of my head the files for this issue would be this but I have never subscribed to the theory of piecemealing an upgrade.
pp-inc.php
showphoto.tmpl
showphoto.php
filmstrip-hor.tmpl
filmstrip-ver.tmpl
When it is upgrade time I upload all files except the config files.

Chuck,
I have now uploaded every file under templates/ folder and every file except the config.php file under photopost/ folder. And it still does not show.

Chuck,
I got some of it working: http://www.photozo.com/album/showpho...t=500&ppuser=2
The preview strips is now displayed on the bottom. But it was right underneath the photo and above Photo details table. How can I move it up?
Also, we do not have the Previous and Next link above the photo besides the Slide Show link.
I think the template file for VBEnhanced works fine, but for others there is something not entirely correct. Could you please kindly take a look at the showphoto.tmpl I emailed you?
Many thanks for your help.

displayphoto template there is no display photo template
Also I see you have modified your template files. The bottom display is suppose to display underneath the entire display as I have shown it
Also there is no different in the filmstrip or showphoto templates in the regular template directory and the vb3enhanced directory in the distribution
I have tried this with vb3enhanced on and off and it displays fine. Given the past discussion on this issue in this thread I can only assume your piece mealing an upgrade and the only thing I would suggest in this case is to upload an entire unmodified 5.3 distro except config files to your site then you can reapply any hacks and such you have installed.
