Interesting proble for one user of our gallery...

Hello -

Apache version 1.3.34 (Unix)

# Tell us what version of PHP and MySQL you are running.

# Tell us if the server is under your control or if you are leasing/renting/borrowing hosting space from someone else.

One of my users reports that when he uploads pictures, in the "process image list" screen there remain entries for images he tried to upload a couple of days ago.

He gets errors such as the following:

Problem running JPEGTRAN:

"/usr/bin/jpegtran" -copy none /home/corvette/public_html/gallery/data/500/DocumentLibrary\\96whtlt4rear.jpg

Error Code: 1

Warning: getimagesize(/home/corvette/public_html/gallery/data/500/DocumentLibrary\\96whtlt4rear.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /gallery/image-inc.php on line 214

Warning: copy(/home/corvette/public_html/gallery/data/500/DocumentLibrary\\96whtlt4rear.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /gallery/image-inc.php on line 241

Warning: getimagesize(/home/corvette/public_html/gallery/data/500/DocumentLibrary\\96whtlt4rear.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /gallery/image-inc.php on line 413

He also reports that if he does upload new images, and although he does get the above errors, his "new" uploads work and show up in the gallery.

The images that he reports as being in error do not show up in any of the image data directories, nor do they exist in the data table.

I have had the guy clear cookies, and try a different browser etc - still no luck.

The directories are all properly set up with CHMOD.

I even reset his password and logged in as his account, and successfully uploaded a few pictures....I could not repeat the error.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

jpegtran is only needed if you want extract EXIF information from digital cameras and such and display it you need to ask your host the full path to the jpegtran executable

calls to GetImageSize() fail on some PHP installations why no idea actually ...

Remove in Admin => Global Options the path to jpegtran as it may not exist where you are saying it does hense you get an error on a file that needs to use it.
