Cookie issues here, too...

I don't know if my verified customer tag gives you my info, but if so, it isn't the info you need. I'm trying to help someone else fix an issue that is affecting me because I am on their team... We just seem to have constant cookie issues. Moving from the forums to the gallery, we lose our cookie, but I have checked the settings as suggested on the other thread (vBulletin cookie path = / , prefix = bb), have also checked settings in Photopost and they seem to be correct. I did add in the .mydomain.com in the last line and it made things worse so I took it back out. If I login as a user, when I move to the gallery, I get kicked out. Sometimes it will let me back in, but then even if I am logged in and viewing a password protected gallery (after entering the password), my user info does not show up in the box at the top where it normally does. When logging in as admin, same thing happens going from forums to gallery, when logging into admin panel, I have to login twice.

Any chance of getting some help straightening this out? I know she doesn't want to have to do a complete reinstall because she's done alot of work on her stylesheet and doesn't want to have to do that again...but, she also needs this to be working correctly within the next week or so for a very important event and we are both at a loss as to how to fix it.

Thanks so much! I can give the info to whomever needs it, just didn't know if I should post it here or not.

Ummm...Chuck...did you read the first line ? The problem is not with the site you will show for me...it's a different site.

http://www.digitalmemoriesmagazine.com/photopost

Since someone deleted this kind of info from another recent post (by someone else) post, I wasn't sure if you wanted the info put directly in the post, but here it is. I'll be happy to give you the admin login if you will PM or e-mail me...

Thanks!

well I show no issues with the cookies other than the fact pp_testing has not upload priveledges.

I am logged in both apps although I would make the suggestion you change the domain to this in both apps for cookie domain

Well, I had tried that already and it didn't work, but I tried it again, in both admins, vB and Photopost. Did not help. Still, when I go from vBulletin to Photopost, I get logged out. I have cleared the cookies on my machine countless times and logged back in again. I have my own setup that this should function like, but it doesn't. I never have these issues with my own forums/gallery, only with this one. I just don't understand what the difference is and am trying to help her figure this out.

Do not know what to tell you as I am clearly logged in with the login you gave me either in the forum or the gallery I have tried both.

I show cookies in both apps are this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .digitalmemoriesmagazine.com

Double check and make sure here the vblicense number has been entered correctly in the config-inc.php file of Photopost

checked it all and still having issues. When I moved from the forums to the gallery just now, it kept my cookie, but when i clicked on a password protected gallery, it logged me out and told me I didn't have permission to view images in the category, didn't even give me an opportunity to put in a password. I just tried to login again and it thanked me for logging in, then booted me again, without giving me the opportunity to put in a password. I also searched here and found another thread about password protected galleries and added the code to showgallery.php that was recommended in that thread. It did help with one issue, where we would get booted everytime we tried to get past the first page in the password protected gallery after we logged in...but we still are having other cookie issues. Any other ideas what this might be?

If both your photopost and vbulletin if you set your cookies as this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .digitalmemoriesmagazine.com

and in your config-inc.php file you have the $vblicense variable set to the proper vbulletin license number you will have no cookie issues whatsoever.
