Cool sorry to have to say this but...

Hi PP folks, for the last 3 months my site has been down due to people draining my site/gallery... since January i haven't been able to pin-point why or how my bandwidth was being drained, as a result my host closed my site everytime my bandwidth limit was been reached until the 1st of the next month...

Today i found out why...
Dunno how to say this but...

CHUCK YOU GIT!

(looking through my admin log i find...)
Chuck S xx.xx.126.23 December 31, 2005, 3:23 pm Edited a category: 500

I just checked my category viewing permissions, basically it had been altered by an admin ( i made chuck an admin of my gallery to help me with something last year ) to allow normal registered users (which i had disallowed) to view the gallery/members index, these users were getting into my entire gallery via the members index and then downloading anything they wanted!

I've been up in arms about this, i've spent weeks trying to work this out, talking to my host, even attempting to upgrade my hosting package to accomodate more bandwidth.... i've been worried sick thinking i was being hacked, or a i couldn't afford the new hosting upgrade...

I didnt go for it in the end, thank god... also i am relieved i know how this happened, i only just found out after trying out my gallery as a registered member and seeing for myself what i could download...

I thought NO WAY!!..i had to check my log to see what 'admin' did this... the last admin log entry to alter my members index setting is shown above...

as i say this allowed all ensundry to have a gander to my members areas which i've not lost alot of money on and time and hair

I thought my site was popular all of a sudden...
look im not too mad, im more relieved i've found out.... but BLOODY HELL!, you could have shut me down!

Chuck...you owe me ... me.... a... oh i dunno... some would go mental, but i wouldn't have anything at all if it wasn't for your help and PP and the staff here...

anyways...im gonna have a coffee and calm down!
