This same server is using photopost for another website and it works perfectly. I have been working on this for 10 hours straight...

This is a windows server check to ensure the IWAM and IUSER account etc have been given READ WRITE EXECUTE PERMISSIONS on the data and uploads directory as well as all there children.

This is a permissions issue.

Also do you have a link to PHPINFO?

Also Photopost does not exist at your link

You caught me in the middle of removing and reinstalling the software. I will check the permissions in a little bit and let you know.

Alright I have it back to where it was with a clean install.

I reset the permissions on the config files. And I checked the
permissions on the directories. And iuser has all the permissions I can
give. I don't have iwam users.

Found them and figured out the problem. It is a permission problem. But here is the problem. I have given full control to both the Iwam and Iuser for the data and upload directory. The problem is that when you add a category, the permission are only inherited to one level. So the 506 directory has the correct permissions except that the user is set to folder only so that all the sub folders lose the correct permissions.

I have a problem uploading pics, I already upload the pictures in to my folder 1 but when I go to mydomain/photos/photouploads.php and I check the boxes that I have to check and hit submit it appears to be uploading the pictures but when it finish it say "this category does not contaain any pic".

I don't know what to do because this is suppose to be working now, so give me a hand, I'm a new user of photopost and this is my first time uploading pics, I really want to make this work.

Thanks

Chapin that appears to me you have not set the apply permissions to all children box in windows.

gmercado please read the email you where sent by us on 3/1/2006 11:16 AM. It explains your GoDaddy server has safe mode on and you need to have them turn this off or move you to a server that has safe mode off. Here are the requirements to run the program

I did that. I am very confused. I believe W2k3 has something special about the INetpub directory and how permission work. I have worked around the issue by setting the permissions on each Category directory, which works but if I add a new category then I have to remember to set the permissions by hand.

I have noticed one other problem. Anytime the page misc.php is used it just is blank.

Thanks

misc.php is never used without an action defined.

Well what size file are you uploading? Your bound by your PHP limitations set on the server. Memory Limit Timeout and Max Uploadable Filesize.

You might want to tweak these if doing larger uploads. I uploaded a photo to your site but note your permissions are not correct on the members gallery still

I am getting it when I want to do a bulk upload. I place about 50 files in the uploads/1 directory and tried to get it to do the bulk upload and it just goes to a blank page. The URL looks good but nothing happens. So I have to upload 50 images one by one.
