If your using vb3 you must have your cookie prefix and vb3 license number entered correctly when you install the app or the login will be invalid.

My problem is very similar. After enterering my VBulletin admin login username and password in the adm-index login fields, I get a "successful login" message but then, I get thrown back to the Photopost gallery homepage and I'm logged out immediately.

Then, if I go back again to the adm-login page and try to login yet again, this time I get an "invalid login message".

my cookie prefix and vb3 licence numbers are correct.

What can be wrong.

PS: I transferred both my VB licence and photopost licence to a new site and have deleted the VB and photopost files and databases from the old site. So I dont think that should be causing me the login problems. Really appreciate some help here!

There is either one of three things wrong

Check your config-inc.php file for the proper vb3 license number

Check your settings table entry 41 to make sure it says vb3

Check your settings table entry 171-173 for the proper cookie settings

They should be something like this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain either blank or .domain.com must match vb3

It works!

Thank you very much - it was the missing bb prefix for the forum cookie settings. I must have carelessly missed it during installation. Thanks again for your quick response!
