Trying to install

But I point my browser to the install.php and I get a 403 Error.
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /gallery/install.php on this server.


I have checked all the attributes of the folders/files they are all correct.

What am I doing wrong. BTW this is a fresh install

Double check all your permissions on folders files etc and try uploading install.php again.

Thanks, however I now have a new problem.

I am integrating with VB3.5

Photopost database and User database ? I am using the same db as for my forum so entered the same info in both......that correct?

On step 4 it asks for forum database table prefix...this i left blank ,the same as in the config.php

Forum cookie prefix? If I leave it blank I get a long list of errors,if I continue it takes me to the admin log in page, but doesnt let me log in

If I set it as bb then I get a long list of errors,and if I continue it takes my into the admin page.It tells me how many registered users there are and it is correct.

Either way though ,there is no gallery page.


Now I know its something I am doing wrong but what?

Make sure your putting bb in cookie prefix not table prefix

If you get a long list of errors I can only assume this is what your doing with out you listing the errors

bb is the correct cookie prefix

this is typical of the error,although they vary slightly

Okay well that has nothing to do with the bb prefix

That tells me your data directories have not been chmod'd to 777

If you set your permissions on all the data directories to 777 you will not get any more issues as this.

Double checked.All data directories are 777

OK, the folders INSIDE the the folders in the Data folder (you following? ) were not set to 777 .Rightly or wrongly I changed them to 777 .

During the install I got no errors,when it had finished I went into the admincp OK.
When I tried to go to www.mydomain.com/gallery I got

Edit your config-int.php file and place the proper path to forum in $vbpath variable

Sorted that.The folder in the upload folder wasnt 777
Now instead I get :

Yep either set the correct path to mogrify or set your processor to GD2
