config-inc file

Quick question,

When going through the install procedure with plans to integrate pp with VB3 using ONE database:

Should I be entering the existing database name (ie. the existing VB3 database) and username info for both PhotoPost's database name as well as the User database MySQL databasein the config-inc.php file?

I'm guessing if one database is going to be used, the same info is entered into both database fields? (The notes say only to enter the same info "if using Internal as your registration system"...that's what has me second guessing.)

Thanks.

Also, does the pp installation alter any VB3 tables at all or does it simply add tables with no changes to the existing database.

Thanks again.

Yes you enter the same database info for both photopost and user databases.

We do not alter anything to do with the forum.

The version number still reads 5.21 in the config-inc.php file? After we've upgraded can we safely change that to read 5.3 or 5.30 ??

FYI I just downloaded the update a few minutes ago (photopost53.zip), and still reads as 5.21.

Yes it should read 5.3 and you can change that in adm-misc.php

It still reads 5.21 in the Admin after changing it in adm-misc.php

EDIT:
Scratch that!! I was looking at the "PhotoPost News" announcement in Admin not the version number section - it's late!!
