Permission no longer working

Converted phpBB2 to SMF.
Installed and intergrated PP to work with SMF.

Permissions are no longer working.

I have 5 usergroups set up in SMF (posting in database info)

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I updated Photopost so that it would view this as well.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
I have categories set so that only 1, 2, and 16 can view. This is showing up correctly in the database as well.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
However, when somoene logs in who is a 3,2,17 or 100, they are able to see the categories that are marked as denied.

However, if someone logs in as anon, they are denied access to viewing.

Any ideas on what is going on?

My apologies. I'm running 1.0.5 as it's the only one currently supported by Photopost.

Took me a second to realize your issue. SMF has alot more than those 3 usergroups. You missing like groups 4 5 6 7 8 9 etc. Default members are set to group 4 and yours does not exist on your install.

Thank you for the reply.

In the future, perhaps in your reply or even in a PM you could mention that you took the liberty to edit our databases and fix the problem. I'm sure I'm not the only person who would appreciate knowing that instead of stumbling upon it later on.

I added the 4 usergroup for you surely to fix your issue.

You posted SMF your usergroups above so your familiar with the groups. Thus I explained your where missing the normal ones numbered 4 5 6 7 8 that are part of a normal SMF install.

Yes, but had I not been looking in my database, I wouldn't have known you added it since you didn't state so here.

This goes with the above. However, back to the original problem. I'm not understanding exactly why #4 is an issue. #4 was assigned to only those who had posted at least 1 time. Since a huge number have not, and only access the gallery, #4 would have still only applied to the smaller portion of individuals, instead of all of them. Now that I can visually see, and work to my advantage, the issue of the missing group #4, it's not an issue. But given that you didn't explain exactly how to fix the issue nor that you fixed it yourself, I was left kind of out there.

Your issue is because your not using default SMF install because on a default SMF all the groups I meantioned are created.

SMF does not assign by default a user a usergroup just like phpbb2. Thus we assign the default SMF user into the first available SMF public group which is usergroup 4 if there usergroup entry when they are authenticated is empty.

If you look at the Photopost admin edit usergroups you can see that usergroup 4 Members is there and now your install works as it is suppose to.
