Tons of errors during upgrade 4.7 to 5.21

Towards the last upgrade step, I got error:

Preparing to update database...

------
Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/talkbass/public_html/photopost/pp-inc.php on line 832

Upgrade complete! You may now remove the upgrade.php script.
--------

And now post upgrade lots of errors:
http://www.talkbass.com/photopost/

It's grabbing the vbulletin header and footer fine, but as you can see lots of errors: "Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/talkbass/public_html/photopost/forums/vb3.php on line 367"

Also no images can be found: "Photo not found in the database!"

This doesn't look good

More info: mysql photopost db user has full privs, vbulletin database user has basic privs. Does the bb mysql user need more than SELECT privs?

Edit upgrade.php and add this line in bold and then rerun the 4.82 upgrade

define( 'THIS_SCRIPT', "upgrade" );
$skip_exheader="yes";

Looking at your site I see the 4.82 upgrade is not running and this is why you get the error noted. This edit should help you get everything up and running

Ok, this time I get to upgrade=511 step 1, and right before it says "upgrade complete!" it says:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/talkbass/public_html/photopost/pp-inc.php on line 832

And, of course the gallery is full of errors:
http://www.talkbass.com/photopost/

Another question: at one point in the upgrade it said "click here to move files" or something. Where to? I've got a huge collection of photos and it only took a split second, so I'm wondering about that...

Hello you ran more than just the upgrade step I meantioned above

http://www.talkbass.com/photopost/

You have prepended the userid's on your photos more than once by running the 485-486 upgrade a second time. Your issue was you had not ran the 4.67 or 4.82 upgrades. The error noted is gone but you need to restore a backup of your photos table and rerun the 485-486 upgrade on a clean photos table to get the images back.

Well, bad news. I acidentally mis-saved my database backup and so have nothing to fall back on. I guess I just lost 1500 photos?

Have you tried your host? Even if they have one a couple weeks old its better than nothing.

If you take the time you could edit your database to remove the double userid to one userid.

I may have to try and write up a script to fix this issue for people. Just do not delete any photos and close the gallery. Let me see if I can come up with something that might work for you.

I'm on a dedicated box, and can't believe my stupidity. I have one backup that's several months old. With 1500 photos hand-edit is out of the question A script would be nice. I'll probably end up starting from scratch. Might look into that vba gallery...

Well don't despair yet and delete anything like I said. Give me a day to play with it maybe I can write something up if I get a few moments from the hussle and bussle to counter the issue. It would be a good thing since a fair number of people have mad this mistake.
