Help with new 5.21 install

Hello,

I just installed 5.21 at www.v2-forums.com\photopost and I am having the following problems:

I get this error at the top of the page:

Warning: file_exists(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/path/to/php/headtags.htm) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/httpd/vhosts/v2-forum.com/httpdocs:/tmp) in /home/httpd/vhosts/v2-forum.com/httpdocs/photopost/pp-inc.php on line 426

Also when I try to go to the admin screen I get the login page, I log in and then it takes me back to the main gallery page. I can not get to the admin page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay couple easy fixes. Your server has open_basedir set so in admin => global options you need to remove the bogus file paths from headtags header footer etc in that section once you can get in there

Now to get into admin you forgot to on install to enter your cookie prefix or your vblicense variable was not set.

Either run your install again and couple check your license number and on the next to last step set the cookie prefix ( usually is bb verify this by looking at your vbulleitn config file ) or edit the mysql settings table entry 172 in phpmyadmin for photopost and set it to bb

You can also edit by hand the config-inc.php file and verify the license number ( which is at the top of your vbulletin files )

This should get you all set up my friend.

Cool. Got it fixed.

Couple mores things. I would like to change word HOME in the gallery navbar to Main Gallery page . Which file do I need to modify?

Also I would like to remove the WELCOME USERNAME in the block that the gallery search box is in. This is redundant since I am intregrated with vbportal. Which file do I modify to remove just the WELCOME USERNAME?

Okay you can edit the english.php language file and change the home to what you want.

Next you can edit index.php and delete this line

if ( $User['username'] != "" && $User['username'] != "Unregistered" ) $childnav = "{$Globals['pp_lang']['welcomeuser']} {$User['username']}";

That should get you right

Get the following error when removing this line:

Parse error: parse error in /home/httpd/vhosts/xlforum.net/httpdocs/photopost/index.php on line 99

Got it!! Had to delete this:

else {
if ( $User['username'] != "" && $User['username'] != "Unregistered" ) $childnav = "{$Globals['pp_lang']['welcomeuser']} {$User['username']}";
else $childnav = "{$Globals['pp_lang']['welcome']} {$Globals['galleryname']}!";
$searchcat = "all";
}
