I received an Error Message after Installation

I tried to reinstall a new copy of photopost pro with vB3 integration. After the installation, I received an Error Message "mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in E:\User\dgi.ipoh.com.my\httpdocs\gallery\forums\vb3.php on line 25".

My photopost url is at http://dgi.ipoh.com.my/gallery & my vB3 url is at http://forum.ipoh.com.my/forum.

What should I do to solve the above problem.

Thank you.

Hello it would appear on install on of two things.

1. You did not enter the vbulletin mysql table prefix on install

or

2. You did not enter the vbulletin database info on the config section of install

This would cause that error.

Hello,

1. You did not enter the vbulletin mysql table prefix on install
I left it as default, i.e. vBullerin default - ' '.

2. You did not enter the vbulletin database info on the config section of install
I didn't see the info being requested during installation process. How should I enter the vBulletin database info?

Hello,

Problem solved. Yes, there was a section whereby I have to fill up the vBulletin database information. But now I have a new problem. I couldn't log in as admin using the same password as vBulletin admin password. Is it because of cookies setting? Please advise.

Okay same thing different variables.

Did you on install enter your vbulletin cookie prefix which by default is bb?

Did you enter on the initial step your vbulletin license number in the config-inc.php file?

Either of these two things would prevent your login

Hello,

Thank you. Problem solved. It was the cookies "bb" missing in the setting.

Now I can login. But when I entered the Admin Control Panel, I received the following errors:

Warning: opendir(E:Userdgi.ipoh.com.myhttpdocsgallery/data/): failed to open dir: Invalid argument in E:\User\dgi.ipoh.com.my\httpdocs\gallery\adm-inc.php on line 682

Warning: readdir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in E:\User\dgi.ipoh.com.my\httpdocs\gallery\adm-inc.php on line 684

Warning: closedir(): supplied argument is not a valid Directory resource in E:\User\dgi.ipoh.com.my\httpdocs\gallery\adm-inc.php on line 692

What has gone wrong? Please advise.

Thank you.

Your on a windows server. Did you use backslashes on install?

Okay to fix this two things.

Go to Admin => Global Options and set the data and uploads paths making sure to use forward slashes not backslashes and save

E:/.User/dgi.ipoh.com.my/httpdocs/gallery/data/

E:/.User/dgi.ipoh.com.my/httpdocs/gallery/uploads

Then in Admin => Storage Options revert the paths so you can get rid of the no slash paths.
