Import from PhotoPost 4.8 database into the latest build

I have inherited a PhotoPost 4.8c installation with over 10,000 photos. I have tried to upgrade a mirror of the live install but there are too many errors during the upgrade and the end product doesn’t work. I’ve checked permissions, database settings etc…

I am running vBulletin 3.5.2 as the main forum and have blank version PhotoPost 5.2 configured with it. Can I import the legacy data from my 4.8 data directory/database?

Well you can import your old database as long as you have the files also and then tweak your urls and server paths in the settings table and then run the upgrade scripts from 4.8 forward to 5.21

1. setup the old database.

2. tweak the settings table and set the url and server paths to the correct variables

3. upload all the new photopost files and edit the config-inc.php file to the new database settings and prefix

4. Go ahead and run the upgrades from 4.8 to present

You should be fine

With a bit more tweaking and some good luck and multiple backup copies means I've finally been able to get an upgraded version working.

How can I reset the styles in 5.2 so it completely ignores the legacy style settings and integrates with vBulleting 3.5.2? I've enabled this in the admin panel but only the header and footer styles are showing correctly.
