Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1

I'm getting:

"Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1" when uploading any type of picture.
I'm using GDI 2.

error code 1 with gd? wow

You sure permissions on your uploads and data directories and there children are 777.

If this is so only thing I can think of is a permissions issue on the server with GD and the image libraries

I think photopost is trying to use imagemagick even though I chose GD2. When I run a fresh install, all of my CONFIG-INC.PHP variables are correct but the bottom drop down menu always displays Imagemagick. The permissions are set correctly throughout the server and config-inc is set to 777. After running a fresh install I notice $usegd= is missing from my config even though I choose GD from the dropdown. I tried to manually add the $usegd=2; to the config file and that had no effect as well. I removed the mogrify path line in the config file as well just to be sure.

Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 1

Command:

"" +profile "*" -size 100x75 -quality 70 -geometry 100x75 -unsharp 10

Ok problem #1 solved.

I figured out what to do. For some reason choosing GD2 during the install didn't work but choosing it from the admin menu (post-install) fixes almost everything.

Now I get a message: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /xxxx/xxxxx/xxxxx/public_html/photopost/image-inc.php on line 116.
This message only appears during large uploads.

Is there any way to increase to the time past 30 seconds?

Hello well you can edit your php.ini file to bump up php settings if you have permissions. Otherwise there are some settings php allow override on through scripts

IN uploadphoto.php place this in bold where noted.

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
