Install problem

Hi there -

Trying to install Photopost with vBulletin 3.5, but when the install process was finishing, there was an error displayed at the top of the "delete install.php" message:

Quote:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/user/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 25
Then when I go to log in, I receive the following error:

Quote:

Warning: chdir(): No such file or directory (errno 2) in /home/user/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 60

Warning: main(./global.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/user/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 61

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/user/public_html/gallery/header-inc.php on line 61

Could you please advise?

Hello two things I see

On your install you forgot to enter the proper vbulletin table prefix

Then on the last step of install the server path to the forum is incorrect.

If you rerun install and enter the correct information you should be fine

Hi there -

thanks for the reply - indeed, I accidently got the server path wrong for the forum, so that's one correction.

There is no table prefix on my vB install, though??

Now getting the following login error:

Quote:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/user/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 25

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/chron/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php:2948) in /home/user/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 202

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/chron/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php:2948) in /home/user/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 205

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/chron/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php:2948) in /home/user/public_html/gallery/forums/vb3.php on line 207

before it settles to the

error.

This can only mean one of two things here

1. You did not input the proper vbulletin table prefix

or

2. You have incorrectly specified the vbulletin database information in the first step of install

Thanks for that - much appreciated - it was no.2 :)

Last silly question - where do I find the actual admin login?

Chuck S November 19th, 2005 12:41 PM

your integrating with vb right then your admin login is your vb admin login

I, Brian November 19th, 2005 12:47 PM

I'm using separate databases - one for forum, one for photopost - I can't immediately see navigation for photopost within the vb admin panel.

Chuck S November 19th, 2005 12:49 PM

there is no admin for classifieds in the vb admin area

If your logged in with your vb login on your classifieds menubar there will be a admin link to the classifieds admin area

I'm afraid I don't see an login feature on a menubar:

Ah and I know why.

Remember on install you specified the wrong table prefix for VB. Your usergroups where not imported

I take it I brian is admin user for VB

Looking at phpmyadmin what inserts are under the photopost usergroups mysql table

There should be an entry for admin groupid 6 and cpaccess set to 1

I, Brian November 19th, 2005 01:36 PM

Thanks for that - sounded messy, so I simply deleted the database, reinstalled, and finally found the admin login -

- but it's not accepting my log in, and instead boots me out to my forums, while logging me out of them.

Any ideas??

I don't know much about databases - but this looks like none with 0 cpaccess

Chuck S November 19th, 2005 01:55 PM

well you can email me admin login and phpmyadmin to see what you have done

E-mail sent last night - tell me if you need anything else.
