Server Load is way too high

If I let unregistered guest view images then my Server load is very high. Example:

load averages: 2.39, 2.28, 1.93
mysql 63 0 469M 110M RUN 1 47.0H 52.83% 52.83% mysqld

Without unregged' users:

load averages: 0.45, 0.97, 1.41
mysql 2 0 460M 104M poll 0 47.1H 9.08% 9.08% mysqld

I don't know what do to. My server just gets too bogged down but I want everyone to be able to view images.

I am the #1 search on yahoo images for "girl", "big boobs"....

I do need help please.

well real answer is to get a bigger server that can handle that traffic

However you could use something like this to turn people away

I don't want to turn people away. Could it be the IPcache or iponline? usually there is only about 100-130 people on the photo albums.

You can turn off server intenstive stuff like who's online etc in photopost to lighten the load. Just experiment some on turning things off and see the load.

could also be that the guests are search engine spiders. Put up a robots.txt file to disallow them spidering the gallery
