Recent, popular and random thumbs on every page???

I just noticed a problem with my 5.21 upgrade. I have these two settings:

Show Most Recent Additions on Index page? yes
Show Random images on Index page? yes

The problem is they show up on every category and gallery page, not just the index! This did not happen on my old 4.7 system.

I see this problem on Photopost.com's own gallery so it isn't just me.

This is a problem since users should not have to load all those thumbnails on every page. I just want them on the index.

Can this be fixed?

5.21 changed the default so that they show up on more pages.

PP 5.3

I read the thread you were referring to, but this seems not to exist in PP5.3 anymore- You wrote:

But when I search in my PP5.3 pp-inc.php file, this code does not exist anymore. Any idea where to find this to make the same change as requested above for version 5.21 ?

I want to upgrade more galleries to PP5.3, but I need to turn this off within all categories.

The feature was moved as an on off switch in Admin => Show Photo Options in 5.3

For the sake of others: It is the box "Display Featured Photos on this page?". switch to "no" and its gone...
