ImageMagick + jpeglib problem

Hello,

I've been working all day to try and get the jpeg support to work in Imagemagick with photopost and I just cant get it to go.

I follow your instructions exactly and install all the items without a hitch. However, when I run ./configure for ImageMagick it always comes up as no support for jpeglib.

If I run a locate jconfig.h it shows the files in their standard /usr/local/include

If I run make test within the jpeg-6b directory all the tests complete successfully.

Any tips?

-Chris

Hello your host might be able to assist you here FreeBSD is a royal pain in the butt to configure software on. Most times you hope there are ports or predone packages already done for your version you can install

Ok thanks, I did more research last night and found a number of programs refuse to run due to missing shared libraries.

I've sent in a trouble ticket, hopefully they will get it sorted soon.

I finally got Imagemagick up and running this morning. The issues were with my host.

I had to disable and enable a few services related to ld-elf.
