Haven't made any changes to my site and am now having upload problems. Thumbnails are not being created. This is the error:

Is it only this one image? Can you upload others. See if your using GD that your host did not recompile php and compile gd with jpg support

Hi Chuck,
This is happening with any upload attempt. As for your other instructions .. I'm sorry but I don't have the skill to understand what you are asking. Is this something I can check in my photopost admin area?
Thanks for your insight!
Alma

I would suggest you contact your host to find out what changes they have made to your server. It is clear they have most likely updated the server and broken GD
You would need to ask them if GD is installed and or is imagemagick installed then you can set things appropriately in admin side. Lets wait and see what they say
what site is this?

Try in config setting your mogrify path to /usr/local/bin/mogrify
then in global settings set processor to imagemagick

In config setting the mogrify path was already set to /usr/local/bin/mogrify
I did change the processor to imagmagick in the global settings, but now get this upload error:
Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127
Command:
"/usr/local/bin/mogrify" -size 100x76 -quality 70 -geometry 100x76 '/www/s/c/scrapwithstamps.com/htdocs/gallery/data/1142/21005_0031-thumb.jpg'

Thats highly strange as powweb always has mogrify at that path
Anyway try switching it back to gd2 as your php says you have it
However your php was updated 4 days ago which is causing your issue
You can email me an admin login to try an upload and see your settings

Everything points to powweb breaking everything when they updated this server 5 days ago
They need to verify everything is working as it is not. Just like Imagemagick exists on powweb at /usr/local/bin/mogrify but it is not found I suggest the same thing is happening with GD it can not find the jpeg libraries etc
This is a permissions issue and they can correct this

Thank you Chuck,
I will email them. Can you give me something specific to say to describe to them what is wrong? When on their online chat support.... the moment I describe my problem as an error on PhotoPost, they dismiss it and say I need to contact PhotoPost support.
I guess if you can tell me how to describe the problem more technically, they can try to help me.

You tell them ever since they upgraded your server's php on November 4th that both your mogrify and GD image processors are not working

Chuck,
Here is what they replied. I'm confused as to why they don't see it as something they need to correct??

php 4.4.1 - Internal server errors & other issues
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 4.4.1 version of php has some bugs that are causing problems with some popular installations (squirrelmail, WordPress, Gallery, etc.). We have a few options for addressing the problem, and unfortunately at the moment, none of them are immediate fixes.
We could revert to the last stable version of php, but that re-opens well known security holes. We could patch our installations, but that is messy and complicated, and not the optimal fix. So we are choosing to wait for php to fix the problems in the next release, 4.4.2, which is due in a week or so (they estimated two weeks to delivery on November 3rd.).
We're sorry about the delay, but these are bugs in the php release, not PowWeb-related issues. We believe that waiting for the new release is preferable to reverting and opening up our users to the pre-existing security risks.
In the meantime if you are having problems with a program running on your site you may want to check in with the developers of the program. Some of them are working on - or have already released - fixes to address the problems with php 4.4.1.

Chuck,
can you read this and let me know if it is relevent to my problem? http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=35111
This is so hard when I'm just an end user not a programmer.
Thank you for trying to help me.
Alma

Yes as I stated your GD is broken with them updating the server and this would appear to confirm that.
Now open a thread on the support site for powweb and link that bug for them to see.
