addded the line - now trying upgrade again

Okay your data subdirectories are not set to 777. Make sure on 4.85-486 upgrade ONLY RUN STEP3 ONCE

The other errors are just duplicates saying you have already ran them

You will have mysql errors until your database is 5.21

Im on step 2 and its failing ... Im double checking the permissions

for some reason the thumbs and other folders in the 500 folder was acting wierd - after forcibly fixing that the upgrade went one more step now more errors

Yes if the image copy fails its permissions

Now after step3 those errors are fine not every server allows scripts to delete files

Go on to 5.0 upgrade

manually deleted the files in the error and the gallery looks right

but it wont let me into the admin panel - Im logged in

deleting the cookies now - didnt help

It shows me logged in but when I click admin it asks me to login again and then takes me back to home page

PS - the owner of the site-gallery is one of the customers who switched to VBaGallery after becoming frustrated by PP and these kinds of issues -
Ill let him know that the upgrade works and see if he is interested in running it on the production version. Since PP now owns VBa Gallery he is more than a little frustrated.
