Upload Error

Hi. A few days ago my Gallery wasn't showing up at all giving me an error message. It seems to be showing up now but we cannot upload anything.

This is the error it gives when I try to upload.

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/home/thedecor/public_html/gallery/uploads/1/cuba_009.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/thedecor/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 34

Warning: move_uploaded_file(): Unable to move '/var/tmp/phpnpcfND' to '/home/thedecor/public_html/gallery/uploads/1/cuba_009.jpg' in /home/thedecor/public_html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 34

Unable to move file [/var/tmp/phpnpcfND] [/home/thedecor/public_html/gallery/uploads/1/cuba_009.jpg]

What should I do to fix this problem? Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Hello possibly your server had some issues now it seems your directory and file permissions are not set correctly

You can set permissions based on this document and you will be fine

Hi Chuck.

I found this in the link you mentioned:

photopost
images (chmod 755)
uploads (chmod 777)
help (chmod 755)
data (chmod 777)
1 (chmod 777 - including subdirectories)
2 (chmod 777 - including subdirectories)
500 (chmod 777 - including subdirectories)
languages (chmod 755) (a
stylesheets (chmod 777)
templates (chmod 777)
forums (chmod 755)

They were all at 755 and I changed the ones that needed to be at 777. But I'm still getting the same error message when posting. What am I doing wrong? Do you think you can take a look for me? When I purchased the program, I had paid extra for installation, so I'm not too familiar with all the files/directories. I'm pretty sure I changed the ones that needed to be changed to 777 but it's still not working.

Any help for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

When was this installed as I know when we install these directories are set correctly.

Your server probally had issues and your host rolled things back and probally knocked permissions off

anyway if you set permissions on uploads to 777 did you also do the directories under it to 777?

All subdirectories of the uploads and data directories need to be 777

I didn't change the subdirectories; only the ones listed. I will go back and do that now and see what happens. I will let you know how it goes. Thank you Chuck.

Hi Chuck.
Well, I've changed the following directories to 777:
Data
Stylesheets
Templates
Uploads
I've also changed the sub directories to 777 as well; except for the ones that were at 644.

I still get the same error message when I upload. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong. What am I missing? I'm sorry to be a bother.

example uploads/1 must be 777

ALL SUBDIRECTORIES IF UPLOADS AND DATA MUST BE 777 AT EVERY LEVEL
