| About to upgrade pp v3.21 to v5.2 any pointers?
I'm upgrading a large gallery from v3.2.1 to v5.2 and am a bit nervous.
If you can point me to any documentation or provide any hints to make this leap go smoothly please pass it on. Thanks!

Hello
Yes the upgrade script has all the necessary upgrades needed and in the documentation folder is upgrade.txt to assist you on what you need to do

Ok, I'm stuck already. The upgrade script say this: Quote: |
If you are running a version which is not listed, then you only need to run those scripts which follow your version. For example, if you were running 3.25, then you would run the 3.3 upgrade.
| , which in my case running 3.2.1 would mean I should run 3.3, however, when I click on the 3.3 link I see this: Quote: |
This install script will upgrade a 3.3.X version to PhotoPost to the 4.0 release. Only run this upgrade if you have the 3.3 version of the database in place (either by previous upgrades or if upgrading in order to the latest).
| Which sounds not only contradictory, but very bad to me. Should I run the 3.2 script or 3.3?

Nope if your using 3.2.1 you need to run the upgrade 32-33 database upgrade
3.2 - 3.3 means anyone with 3.2.1 3.2.2 etc would run that upgrade.

I dont see anything wrong here
$query[] = "REPLACE INTO settings VALUES (110,'Optional Photo Field #3 (blank for none)','extra3name','','',3,6);";
That query looks okay to me
Sounds like and looks like you php timed out
You would need to rerun that script

Ok, I increased my php timeouts and tried again. Got past the first one with what looks like minor errors, so I continued. Here's the screen dump: Code: Content visible to verified customers only.

Ok, this could be an issue. Quote:
Move DATA directory files (you only do this only once successfully) --> or quit here.
Moving data files can take some time depending on your installation; 10,000 files could take 5 minutes or more. Please be patient.
| My gallery has over 200,000 files taking up 6 gig of space. Exactly where are these files being moved too, and is there any other way to do this? I have a feeling this script isn't going to go so well in my situation...

Nope there is no of way of doing it and it will most likely take hours in your situation. I had one upgrade take 6.5 hours just for that step
Basically files are being renamed and moved
