Migrating Photopost from Threads install to FusionBB

Hi,

I'm working on moving my website from .threads to FusionBB. Right now I testing the migration using a testing site and everything so far seems to be working pretty well. Today I tried moving over my Photopost from .threads and had some success, but ran into a few problems. First off, I'm moving from .threads 6.5.1 with PP 4.8.2. I'm running FusionBB 1.0 with PP 5.2. Now I'm not doing this optimally but just hang in there with me. I copied all of the data directory over, dumped my DB from the threads PP, and then imported those tables into the Fusion PP install. I ran the upgrade script and went through all the steps from 4.8.2 to 5.2. I went into the settings table and manually changed all of the settings. I was able to login and everything, but there is one small problem. In my current production environment running threads, the thumbnails and medium images are stored in the same folder, say /data/500 or something. In the dev install with Fusion it is looking for the thumbnails and mediums in /data/500/medium etc. and with the same filename as the large file.

Ok so my question, is there an easy remedy to this, did I just overlook some option somewhere. Did part of the PP upgrade script choke?

TIA, Jon

You would need to actually proper upgrade the old photopost database to get it to work. Your trying to use a 482 database/data image paths with 5.0 so the old copy needs to be 5.0 series data

Upgrade the old copy and try using that photos table and data directory

Ok, so the data files are moved around then. We have a custom hack on our board that uses the medium images from the gallery, so does that mean after I upgrade to 5.0 that the paths will be different and those images won't display?

As always, thanks for your help Omegatron.

Would it be possible to easily hack the upgrade script so that instead of moving the mediums it copies them in order to maintain the links in the threads? Otherwise I'd have to come up with some tricky SQL query to change all the links, and it's pretty obvious I don't know how to do that.
