installation problems

i seemed to have had a successful install, but no matter which page i go to, it's blank.

i am running vb3.0.9 and that's still working. i can't figure this one out.

Linux system 2.4.31
php 4.3.11
gd 2.0.28
mysql 3.23.56

any thoughts?

thanks

allan

Is this with vb3 integration on or off?

Url to install?

If vb3 integration is on try turning it off and let Photopost load by itself

integration on

http://www.wvbbts.org/photopost/install.php

i just reinstalled without integration and that worked; can i re-enable it?

my user database is not integrating with vb3. when i put in my credentials, it says invalid. if i try and register, it sends me to vb3 and tells me i'm already registered.

Okay well here is some things to check for

1. Make sure in your edit integration settings your using the correct paths and urls to the forum and gallery in there. The white screen means you have most likely the path wrong to the forum

2. As far as logins make sure your vblicense is entered in your config-inc.php file as if this is not entered no login will be valid since the license is written into the password for authentication

almost there

passwords are working now. i re-typed the password and that worked out fine.

on the integration: i can have the bottom 2 on (vb3 controls and wysiwyg) but still get a blank page if i turn on the headers, footers and styles. any suggestions?

one more thing; if i run header-inc.php, i get a blank page.

Okay two things here to check.

1. To use the header-inc.php file in admin edit integration you must state the correct paths to the forum and photopost and urls

2. You must enter a path in your config-inc.php to the mogrify command on your server as right now you have that set empty

i'm using GD2. i called my hosting provider (hostcentric.com) and they were unable to tell me the exact location of the executable. they said it was installed in a default location, much like php.

i have tried doing that through the web wizard. it does not add the $usegd = 2 line in my config-int.php. it says it verifies it and says it adds it, but everytime i view it, it's not there.

with all this playing around, i now have lost my header (top choice) integration!!! bottom 2 still work..

i also get an error everytime i try and upload a photo.
