errors uploading

i just tried to upload some pictures to a new gallery called laura here, not uploading to the server, through the upload page

i was given these errors

Warning: move_uploaded_file(/members/420/uploads/2/carmen_pot2_002.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /members/420/image-inc.php on line 37

HMM

Have you chmod the uploads and data directories and there children to 777?

Looks to me here the uploads directory or at very minimum is not set to 777

i have no idea what that means..
all i know is i paid you to install and need it fixed...
what should i do?

I can take a look if you send ftp info but I can tell ya it was set when we installed it.

Your install was a while ago so basically your server permissions where dropped it would seem.

That does happen every now and then and here is a good tutorial on how to set permissions

Basically by right click the directory in ftp you can usually bring up chmod or properties where you can set things to 777

all i know is that i have not touched anything since you upgraded it about a month or so ago.... and do not know how to edit server permissions...nor would i want to... i never tested the function of uploading from a page, i only did a few updates via uploading to server, so i never really tested all the functions, etc..... where should i send ftp info to?...i do not want it in an area where people can find it, robots, search engines, other members, etc...thanks.

never received it...
you have an email address that does not communicate with me, i remember this from before...no idea what the problem is...so...did you not receive my email regarding the merging of the two accounts?...but you did receive my email with ftp info, right?
