| Switched From UBB Threads v6.5 to vBulletin v3.5 (Need Help)
Operating Forum Software: vBulletin v3.5
==============================
I just made the switch away from UBB Threads v6.5.2 to vBulletin v3.5 and I'd like to get my PhotoPost and Classifieds working under the new forum software.
So far I've just been working with PhotoPost. Edited my config-inc.php and config-int.php files to reflect the new changes in paths and urls as well as input my vb3 license information.
The database remains in tact with no changes as I had the PhotoPost database outside of UBB Threads' database.
I can't seem to get PhotoPost to work correctly however. The software is not showing the photos and the layout looks pretty fugly. I'm also getting this error:
Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/smoknz28/public_html/forums/gallery/forums/threads.php on line 30
I also notice that when I hover over the links to the right top corner:
"Home · Search · Register · Login" I see the urls are pointing to my ubbthreads path. I have no idea where to change that at as I've already made all the changes in the 2 config files.
Here's a link to my gallery: www.f-bodyhideout.com/forums/gallery
Help on this is appreciated.
Mark

Hello you need to go to your photopost settings table and change setting 41 to reflect vb3 not threads and setting 83 to the proper table prefix for the forum. You may also want to edit settings 171-173 to the proper cookie settings as well
Also you will want to go to your photopost usergroups table and delete every entry except admins and change the groupid to 6 instead of 1
This should allow you to be switched to vb3 and from there get to admin and refresh your usergroups in edit usergroups and set the vb3 enhanced integration

...change setting 41 to reflect vb3 not threads (Done)
...setting 83 to the proper table prefix for the forum (Maybe a mistake I made in the installation for vb3, I never added a prefix to the db. So the setting in 83 is left blank)
...You may also want to edit settings 171-173 to the proper cookie settings as well. (171 = /forums/) (172 = Left this one blank because I'm not sure what to put in there) (173 = .f-bodyhideout.com)
...Also you will want to go to your photopost usergroups table and delete every entry except admins and change the groupid to 6 instead of 1 (Done) I've also made some changes in the settings table as well where I saw paths leading to my old ubbthreads directory. Just updated them to my new directory path to the forums as I've moved all the files to this path.
...This should allow you to be switched to vb3 and from there get to admin and refresh your usergroups in edit usergroups and set the vb3 enhanced integration. (Yea, still not been able to get the gallery functioning correctly. I still see "Admin · Home · Search · Register · Upload Photos · Login" showing the path to my old ubbthreads.)
Please let me know if I've made some mistakes or should make further changes.
Thanks... |

171 = /forums/)
(172 = Left this one blank because I'm not sure what to put in there)
(173 = .f-bodyhideout.com)
well it should be this on a default vbulletin
171 = /)
(172 = bb )
(173 = .f-bodyhideout.com)
Now also make sure vb is set to use the .f-bodyhideout.com domain as well and cookie path should always be / for site wide

K, changes made as you instructed....and it seems like the text looks a bit better on the gallery, but the photos are still not appearing and the menu links "Admin · Home · Search · Register · Upload Photos · Login" are still pointing to ubbthreads.
Thank you for helping along on this...

Not sure I follow you Chuck. I can't login to PhotoPost or the Admin link due to it pointing to ubbthreads. I changed the url to reflect the vb directory....and I got the login panel....but once I hit the submit button...I tries using the ubbthreads directory. Maybe I'm misreading what you conveying to me here....

Your issue is because you have moved your entire gallery you will need to update all the urls in the settings table to the new url as its looking for the directory where it use to be

Chuck, I already did that when you informed me of updating the settings table within photopost's database. I went through all the fields that were pointing to ubbthreads and changed them to forums which is my new directory that houses my vb3.
Man, what an a$$-kicker....I'm seriously considering a fresh install... If I do this though....won't I lose the connection to all my photos that users have uploaded?

Chuck, I've changed them and reverified them. Matter of fact, I went through all the id's in the settings table and made sure they were all changed. This is weird.....I'm going to close out of phpMyAdmin all together and see if that clears up something that may be in memory....

Yea, this is definitely weird.... I closed completely out of phpMyAdmin after verifying that all fields that had ubbthreads in the path or url were changed to reflect the new directory.....then logged back in after a couple of minutes and the table still shows the changes that I made with no trace of ubbthreads in any of the id paths or urls. Opened back up the gallery url in the browser and the links are still pointing to ubbthreads. Where the heck is the software still reading this from.....? Ack....

Chuck, I threw in the towel.....just had it with the headaches I've already been through with the UBB to vB3 conversion.
Gonna do a fresh install. Gonna be a bit painful to some of my members as they'll lose their photos that they may have on the server....but I'm sure we'll all get through it.
