Imagemagick issue: "Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127"

Hi Everyone,

I was receiving the same "Error creating thumbnail! Error code: 127" issue for Imagemagick, although I was using the settings that my server just emailed me to use:

/usr/bin/mogrify

I switched the settings to temporarily used GD2, but I read on this forum that GD2 does not produce the same quality of images as Imagemagick....

Any ideas as to how I can get imagemagick working again?

(I started experiencing this problem after I upgraded servers, but my webhost tells me that the above path is correct.)

127 means imagemagick can not be found so you need to double check that path. You may not have access to use it so that may be why its not found

GD2 produces good quality images the same as imagemagick. it's gd1 that is subpar

So, the quality of GD2 is o.k., then?

Then there would be no reason to use Imagemagick, then.
