VB3 admin / moderator integration

Hi all you brrilliant and friendly people

I've installed a fresh copy of PP in a new location, using the data from a previous PP gallery.

The installation appears to work in all respects except for the admin panel. The link is at the top of page, but when clicked it requires a login prompt (despite recognising a user is logged in on the index page).

I enter the credentials and they are accepted and I am re-directed back to the regular index

I suspect this is to do with the previous attempt (not by myself) to port the old gallery across, unsucessfully. I've come this far and suspect its one of the 200-odd fields in the settings table in the DB.... I would say I am competent to replace any incorrect fields, but not sure which one I should be looking at?

Many Thanks In Advance!

check your cookie settings more than likely you have not set your cookie prefix to bb or have not entered the correct vb3 license number

Those are the two things that can lock out admin access

Brilliant as usual!

I spent hours yesterday looking through all those settings and ended up not being able to see the wood for the trees!

Was down to the cookie prefix being set to the table pre-fix... one lives and learns.

Thanks again

I spent some time on this as well.

On suggestion is that you remove the instruction that "leave blank if default"... as I thought I didn't have to enter bb for vbulletin as I used the default prefix for it.

I personally think we can not get any clearer here. Not the if used and then all the normal suggestions for the top forums

Forum Cookie Prefix (if used, otherwise leave blank)<br />
Some defaults include - VB: bb, Threads: w3t_, phpBB2: phpbb2mysql

I mean, the "if used" is a bit misleading, from the point of view of an average user like me. I didn't "set" any cookie prefix for my vB, and therefore I thought I didn't have to put "bb".

I don't know exactly what "if used" is meant to mean - a user "uses" photopost with a forum, or if a user uses a forum cookie prefix?
