help! cannot make it work with Mambo

Hi,

I am using Mambo 4.5.2 and PhotoPost 5.13. PhotoPost is able to see all Mambo's user accounts. However, I am not able to make them login at same time. When I login to Mambo, I still have to login again in PhotoPost. I don't know what Mambo's cookie name is because I can't find the setting in Mambo. Any idea what I need to do to make this work? My Mambo path is under /mambo and PhotoPost is under /mambo/forums. Thank you.

Well Mambo is a bit limited I beleive on cookie settings but you should have a usercookie and password cookie

Basically Mambo should create a cookie with a path of / and the domain it is running on

Photopost would need to be on the same domain as mambo not a separate one for the cookie to be recognized

Mambo and PhotoPost is on the same domain name. Mambo is installed under mambo folder and Photopost is installed under mambo/fourms folder.

Do you mean I need to create user cookie and password cookie for Mambo? Can you tell me how to do that? Thank you.

??

I registered a username and logged into your mambo went to your photopost and was logged in

Your issue is your revolving domain names which is causing your problems. You need to decide what your doing here

www.yapky.com

www.vkick.com

Your issue is when you click back and forth the domain keeps changing to the other one

I just tried again and still not login. I am using IE. Can you tell me what I should enter in PhotoPost's cookie setting? Right now I have:

cookie path = /
forum Cookie prefix = (blink)
photopost cookie domain = (blink)

Thank you.

Your cookie settings are fine

Your issue is as I stated. I registered a name and your logged in correctly as far as cookies

Your issue is clicking various links between the products in your header etc etc your domain name changes. The cookies will only be integrated if the domains are the same.

I reconfigure both, it is still the same. So I reinstall both and it is still having the same problem.

Mambo: http://www.yapky.com/mambo (forum link is to PhotoPost)
PhotoPost: http://www.yapky.com/photos

After login to Mambo, click on the "forum" link on top to get to PhotoPost, then you will see it is not login to PhotoPost. It never work for me...

Please help, thank you.

Your photopost does not exist here

http://www.yapky.com/photos/index.php

Now if I go here and I logged in with mambo I went to photopost here and uploaded a photo fine

http://www.yapky.com/mambo/photos/index.php

As I stated above your issue before was never cookies you had another domain name sneeking in there which was causing cookie to drop. If you still have links in your site to this domain your cookies will continue to drop

http://www.vkick.com/mambo

Cookies are domain specific

There is no issue here with our software.

I reinstall everything to point to www.yapky.com so there is no vkick.com infor there.

Did you click on "remember me" when you login to Mambo? I just found that if I enable "remeber me" when I login to Mambo, then PhotoPost login will work. If I did not enable that, then PhotoPost won't login automatically.

Please confirm, thank you.
