Upgrading Invision Power Board

Hi,

I'm running PhotoPost 4.8.2 and ReviewPost 2.8.2 and have integrated the user databases with Invision Power Board v1.3.1 Final, so that they all share the same login system.

My forums have just been hacked and I need to upgrade to the latest version (2.0.4).

Will doing this affect PhotoPost and ReviewPost in any way? And what exactly do I need to change in the configurations to get them to work with IPB 2.0.4?

Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm waiting for my IPB installation to be upgraded, so i will let you know how it goes.

Will the same script also work with my Reviewpost installation (v2.8.2)?

So change $pp_db_prefix to $rp_db_prefix?

Wouldn't it be easier just to change the User Registration System admin setting from ib to ib2, in both PP and RP?

Actually, I've just looked at the Admin options for RP v2.8.2 and it only has one option available (ib) in a drop-down list. Does this mean that I will need to upgrade RP to a later version?

Yes you would need upgrade reviewpost

You can do what you want. The script was just written as most people dont know how to do all the steps and usually changing integrations you cant do with just admin access as doing one step usually makes it impossible to do the rest resulting in an unusable install. So usually the proper way to do it is to hand edit the config file and use phpmyadmin to change the setting but this script does that part for you without having to do it
